A Question for the Non-Scots

I have a quick question for those of you that aren’t Scottish:

When I was around 10 years old, I had a teacher named Mrs McSporran. Anyone find that funny?

I never thought anything of it at the time but now after three years in England, it seems pretty funny to me. I mean, Mrs McSporran! She might as well have been called Kilts McHaggis!

    I feel really sorry for that guy! I don’t think it’s fair to put someone on the sex register for something he chose to do to an inanimate object in the privacy of his own locked bedroom.

    I work with a girl whose second name is MacSporran.

    I also used to use a cartridge supplier called Hamish MacSporran. Love it.
